Untitled

Well there's not really a theme for what I'm writing. Sorta "stream of consiousness" type thing.
Mainly it's just on junk that has been bothering me for a bit.

Well, one of the most popular news stories out there right now is stories of all the lawsuits that the movie "Borat" is getting. So many people feel upset and distraught over the fact that their inner retard was played out on the silver screen. The amzaing thing about this film was its ability to destroy people's typical political correctness and say what they really think. One of the most infamous scenes in the movie is the scene in which members of the USC branch of the fraternity Chi Psi spoke of women and black's in degrading terms. After seeing these young men speaking freely and really upholding the redneck/southern sterotype I decided that my diploma from USC was not going to be worth as much as it used to be. The funniest thing about these frat boys is the fact that they are suing Borat b/c they say he got them drunk b4 they filmed or even signed relese forms. To me it seems if you sign something while you know you are drunk then it's your problem. If they had refused to sign the release papers then the material would never have been put in the movie. Instead they decided to sign documents while under the influence of alcohol. Stupid move. To all out there who read this, I have one quick suggestion: NEVER SIGN ANYTHING WHILE YOU ARE DRUNK!!!!! How stupid do you have to be to sign something without reading it muchless while plastered. I say they deserve to be publicly humiliated for their stupidity.

On a completely different topic, I've been thinking alot about the death penalty and crime and punishment. It's a really tough issue, ecspecially for a christian. How can I, as a christian say on one hand if you die in your sins you go to hell, and on the other say that b/c you have sinned I'm going to kill you b4 you can repent. But then I realized something, the Death penalty is only a small part of crime and punishment. I realized that b4 we reform the death penalty, why don't we change our prison system. Right now, if I was a homeless person, I would do every thing in my power to be arrested every night, b/c it's much better to sleep in prison than on a bench in a park. However, that shouldn't be the idea of prison. Prison shouldn't be some place where humane treatment at all times is the law. It should be a place where obediance is rewarded w/ humane treatment. Think about it. If prisoners knew that rather than being sent to solitary confignment if they act up they could be beaten and thrown back into general population, what a difference it would make. As it is now if some one in prison breaks the prison rules, there's not a whole lot you can do to them, they're already in prison. You can extend sentances, put them in solitary, but really that does about as much as slapping them on the wrist. If instead of having their sentance extended the prisoner recieved ten lashes and a public beating in addition to having their sentance extended, people would act up a whole lot less in prison. And people not in prison would have a reason to stay out other than bad food or bad cell mates. Now I know some of you out there are thinking "But David they're citizens too, they have rights." I say if you're retarded enought to commit crimes then you are responsible for your actions and should be punished not confined. I understand that confignment can be a big punishment, but it's obviously not enough when the exact same people continue returning to jails b/c they decide that if they commit a crime that the rewards are higher than the punishment. Prison is supposed to be a crime deterent, not a punishment.

wow that's some pretty heavy stuff. Oh well. I guess I'm in a sorta depressed mood right now.
Not an excuse but .... Maybe next time I'll be more optimistic. Until that next time good luck and good night.
