Masks On

I'm teaching a lesson in house church tomorrow on Unmasked Christianity. We're reading the book "Messy Spirtituality" by Michael Yaonelli. It's an interesting book that sets about answering the question What does a godly person look like? I don't agree with everything but it does raise interesting questions and interesting ideas. I would def recommend reading it. But if you do read it read with an open mind as well as a critical mind. Don't just accept something he (or anyone) says because they say it.

Any way I think it's going to be a very interesting lesson because I'm gonna be very open and honest with everyone and I don't know everyone that well. It's a hard thing for me to do. I struggle with openness and honesty with people until I get to know them. During highschool I learned that if you keep your head down and don't talk there is less chance for you to get hurt. But I've found during college that by opening up you can get to know some really beautiful people (beautiful on the inside, although sometimes beautiful on the outside as well). I'm not really sure what exactly I'm going to say so I think I"m gonna work on that for a bit.
